Chennai: Dr B P Rajan, former president of the Dental Council of India (DCI) and the Indian Dental Association (IDA) died of a heart attack here early this morning. Dr Rajan, who was 79, is survived by his wife Shantha, son Dr Gunaseelan and daughter Dr Archana.
Dr B P Rajan was the Tamil Nadu government’s special representative at Delhi and also former vice chancellor of Tamil Nadu MGR Medical University. Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has described Dr Rajan’s demise as a big loss to the medical field. [Source: Chennai Online]
